An overhead spread of Southern comfort food on a warm wooden table

That Girl
and Her Momma

Made with Soul and Served with Love

A woman stirring a pot on the stove in a home kitchen

The name is the whole story

A mother, a daughter,
and one very serious kitchen.

That Girl and Her Momma started the way most good food does — with two people who cannot leave a pot alone. One tastes. One adjusts. Somebody always says it needs a little more of something. That back-and-forth is the recipe.

We cook the food people actually want at a celebration. Southern plates, sides that don't get treated like an afterthought, and desserts worth saving room for. Nothing goes out that we wouldn't put on our own table.

If it isn't good enough for Momma, it isn't going on your table.

  1. 01

    Catering

Full-spread Southern cooking for weddings, graduations, repasts, church functions, birthdays, and office lunches. Menus are built with you — not pulled off a shelf. Entrées, sides, breads, and dessert, cooked for your headcount and delivered hot.

  2. 02

    Luxury setup

The table matters as much as the plate. Styled buffets and dressed tables — linens, chafers, risers, greenery, and serving pieces arranged so the food looks like the occasion it's feeding. You walk in and it's already beautiful.

  3. 03

    Food service

Staff on site to run the line, keep the trays full, watch the temperatures, and clear as the night goes. So the host gets to sit down and be a guest at their own event.

Our promise

Made with Soul
and Served with Love

Every pan leaves our kitchen the way it would leave our momma's — seasoned right, still hot, and made for people we want to feed well.

The spread

Food that makes
the room
get quiet.

Southern and soul cooking, made from scratch and built for a crowd. Smothered and fried mains, greens and macaroni and candied yams and cornbread, and the kind of dessert people ask about on the way out.

Setup & styling

Dressed before
the first plate.

Ask about styling when you inquire and we'll set the table too — linens pressed, chafers lined up, risers and greenery placed, serving pieces where they belong. It's the difference between food on a table and a table that looks like somebody meant it.

How booking works

Three steps, no guesswork.

  1. 1

    Send the inquiry

Date, headcount, event type, and anything you already know you want. The form below is the fastest way to reach us.

  2. 2

    We build the menu

We come back with a menu and a quote for your headcount, then adjust until it's right. Setup and staffing get priced here too.

  3. 3

    We cook and show up

We arrive on schedule, set up, and serve. You host your event instead of running a kitchen.

Lead time, deposit, and travel outside Charlotte are confirmed when we book — we'll lay it all out in writing before anything is final.

Tell us about your event

Share the date, the headcount, and what you're celebrating. We'll come back with a menu and a quote.
